A Complete Collection of Cardiste Magazine

The Cardiste: “Dedicated to the Art of Cardistry” was a unique publication by Rusduck focused exclusively on card magic. This magazine was in circulation from February 1957 to August 1958, resulting in a total of 11 issues released during Rusduck’s lifetime.

The 12th issue was published posthumously in Ibidem magazine, and included in our collection is a scan of the original issue sent to Milt Kort after Rusduck’s passing. This marks the first time it has been made available in facsimile format. Additionally, Gene Shelley later produced a 13th issue featuring original contributions from Rusduck, Alex Elmsley, Bill Miesel, Ed Marlo, Milt Kort, and Max Katz, which we have also included.

We extend our gratitude to Ron Bauer and Sandra Kort for permitting us to publish the 12th and 13th issues and for providing scans of the originals. Please be aware that the scans of the 12th issue were challenging to produce due to the age of the paper and binding, resulting in some blurriness. Therefore, the scans are provided for reference, along with a full transcript of the issue for easier reading and searching.
