Who is David Berglas?

David Berglas, renowned as the “International Man of Mystery,” is a psychological illusionist and one of the foremost mentalists globally. He is credited with the “Holy Grail” of card magic, known as “The Berglas Effect” or ACAAN (Any Card At Any Number).

Throughout his career, he has entertained a plethora of celebrities, including Winston Churchill, Aristotle Onassis, Paul Getty, Lord Mountbatten, the Rolling Stones, Elton John, Michael Jackson, the Sultan of Brunei, and many members of the British Royal Family.

As a creative consultant, he contributed to films such as the 1967 version of Casino Royale, Tim Burton’s Batman, and George Lucas’s Willow. He was also one of the first magicians to host his own television show, Meet David Berglas, in 1954, followed by several acclaimed series in Holland, Sweden, Norway, and Germany.

David’s accolades include serving as President of the International Brotherhood of Magicians (British Ring) from 1976-1977, leading The Magic Circle from 1989-1998, being featured on television’s This Is Your Life in 1991, and receiving the prestigious “Gold Medal” from The Magic Circle in 2000, an honor awarded only six times since 1905.
