Fogel’s unique creation has captured attention in numerous newspapers. You enter any space and ask a participant to gather various newspapers of any type and date. While they do this, you write a prediction on a slate, board, or piece of paper tailored to your performance conditions. This prediction remains with a spectator.

Once the newspapers are collected, the spectator selects one and discards the others. They then remove a single sheet from the chosen newspaper.

At this stage, you have no prior knowledge of the newspapers or their dates, nor do you handle them at any point.

With the selected sheet, you tear it into halves repeatedly until you have eight pieces. You hold four pieces in each hand and let the spectator choose one pile freely—there’s no forcing involved. This tearing process is repeated multiple times, with the spectator deciding which pieces to keep each time. Ultimately, you are left with several newspaper pieces, each containing words you couldn’t possibly know.

The spectator then selects one piece without any coercion. They can choose either side to read the words aloud. When you reveal your prediction, it matches perfectly!
