A spectator is shown a small envelope, just the right size for a playing card, which contains a single card. This prediction remains in full view on the table or in their hand, ensuring it will never be switched. The spectator examines a normal deck of playing cards, which can be any deck – nothing is added or removed. They can see that the deck is standard, well-shuffled, and completely ordinary.

It’s explained that you won’t touch the cards again; they can even keep the deck. The spectator deals cards face-up onto the table (or into another spectator’s hand) and can stop whenever they wish. It’s a completely fair process!

Eventually, they stop on a card of their choice. With empty hands and no sleights involved, the envelope is opened to reveal the same card that has been there from the beginning. The envelope is shown to be empty, and the prediction matches their chosen card!
