Who is he?
Matt Baker has been captivating audiences with his magic since he was 10 years old. Specializing in close-up card magic and parlor-style mentalism, Matt has received numerous accolades, including the Atlanta Society of Magicians’ “Top Dog” trophy and the 2015 Greater Atlanta Magician of the Year award. He has performed at the prestigious Obie’s FFFF Convention and has had his original creations featured in Genii and The Linking Ring. His first marketed effect, “The Misfit Deck,” was released by Card-Shark. Currently, Matt is finalizing “The Buena Vista Shuffle Club,” his debut book of original magic. In addition to his magic career, he serves as a Professor of Mathematics and Associate Dean at Georgia Tech’s College of Sciences, where he has earned multiple teaching awards, including the 2010 University System of Georgia Board of Regents Teaching Excellence Award for his innovative use of magic in education.
