Featured Effects:
This collection includes Paul’s complete act, previously unpublished, which has earned him more than £1000. Now, you can perform this fully scripted routine yourself.
In this effect, audience members write down a three or four-digit number before the show, without the performer’s knowledge. These slips are placed in a transparent bag held by a spectator. The bag circulates among the audience, allowing at least ten participants to select a slip. Astonishingly, the performer reveals each chosen number. The bag and remaining slips can serve as a memorable souvenir for any audience member.
Another engaging effect involves a participant jotting down three significant dates on the back of the performer’s business card. Within just over a minute, the performer accurately notes the day of the week for each date. This quick, entertaining method allows for the revelation of any date’s corresponding day and is completely impromptu.
This routine consists of three to four powerful phases.
The performer writes something on a business card before asking a participant to name any two-digit number. To the audience’s amazement, the performer correctly predicts the chosen number. This process is repeated for added impact. The performer writes down a star sign, and when the participant reveals their star sign for the first time, it matches what is written on the card. The participant then shares their birth date and year, and within five seconds, the performer accurately states the day of the week they were born and the weather on that day, verified via a mobile phone.
This effect requires no pre-show preparation and can be performed spontaneously with a stranger.
In another routine, two participants sit with the performer. The performer writes something on a business card and places it on the table. Person #1 thinks of a two-digit number (never spoken aloud) and through random calculations arrives at a three-digit number. Person #2 then looks at the tabled card and attempts to deduce Person #1’s original two-digit number, which they successfully name. The card is then turned to reveal the three-digit number that was generated earlier, even though it was written down at the start of the effect.
In a truly impromptu effect, you ask a participant to remove any labeled item from her handbag. After she selects a word at random, you can reveal the exact word she chose. This effect is genuinely repeatable with different words.
