The performer asserts that he can withstand the scalding water due to his psychic powers. The audience can observe the water level rising and the temperature displayed on the boiler’s thermometer.

This boiler has no visible doors and can be inspected inside and out. Anyone else trapped within would be unable to escape. The thermometer accurately reflects the temperature of the boiling water, and the rising water level is evident through the water level tube and the opening of water spigots.

As the water fills, it will leak from the opened spigots sequentially. When the water reaches the first spigot, the assistant promptly closes it. This process continues with the second spigot and so forth. To avert drowning, the assistant informs the audience that the psychic performer will attempt to dematerialize and reappear outside the boiler. A curtained cabinet surrounds the boiler, and shortly after, a brilliant flash of light emanates from within.

In an instant, the performer emerges completely dry and unharmed, despite having just been submerged in scalding water! He explains that the heat generated during dematerialization dried him completely.

Once the cabinet is removed, the boiler remains securely locked. This cylindrical metal boiler, akin to those used for heating water, features a removable top that is not gimmicked and can be inspected. It has a solid stainless steel bottom, making it appear escape-proof to everyone except the psychic performer.
