The MAGIC SHARPIE Gaff Card WORKSHOP from the Purple BANGERS Playing Cards

Building on the success of the ANGLEZERO Gaff Card Workshop, I’m excited to introduce the next innovative technique: The MAGIC SHARPIE Gaff Card from the PURPLE BANGERS Playing Cards.

This MAD METHOD is a unique advantage for members of The Malliance, but you’ll need the Gaff Card, included in every deck of PURPLE BANGERS.

For everyone else, this MAD METHOD is accessible through The MALLIANCE or at MADISON.cards.

Here are the details:

The MAGIC SHARPIE Gaff Card is a standard 9 of CLUBS featuring a back design that mimics an unrolled Sharpie Pen. This allows the magician to roll it up, cap it, and create the illusion of a Sharpie! The Gaff cleverly displays the 9 of CLUBS where ‘Sharpie’ would typically appear.

During performances, the magician has participants sign various cards with a Sharpie, which is often referred to as a ‘Magic Wand’ in the world of magic. After a card is signed and the next trick begins, the magician invites the participant to examine the back of their chosen card – the 9 of CLUBS. When the participant removes the cap from the Sharpie, they experience a moment of confusion as they discover they are not holding a Sharpie. Instead, they see the 9 of CLUBS on the side of what they thought was a pen, only to realize it’s actually a rolled-up playing card, their selected 9 of CLUBS! The card they believed to be theirs is then revealed to be a joker (or a previously signed card), leaving the 9 of CLUBS mysteriously absent from the deck.
