Unlock the Secrets of Card-Cheating Switches

When it comes to card-cheating switches, many magicians hesitate to explore them. This is largely due to two reasons: these techniques are often not intended for live performances and can be quite challenging to master. Specifically, switches that involve one-handed pickups, throw-downs, or intricate palm changes are frequently avoided.

However, the switches presented in this manuscript are pseudo-cheating techniques that may pleasantly surprise you. They are not as difficult as they seem, requiring more coordination than sheer manual skill. Additionally, these methods can be effectively utilized in pseudo-cheating demonstrations without exposing their secrets. Many of these switches can also be adapted for magical performances.

This guide covers a variety of techniques, including the Basic Move, ‘Empty-Hands’ Method, No-Palm Method (Kevin Baker), Lateral-Palm Method, Jennings-Concealment Method, Underhand Methods 1 and 2, Under-Deck Method, Modified Tent Switch, Pseudo-Deal Palm Switch, Pseudo-Removal Palm Switch and its Variations, Flip-and-Fan Palm Switch, and Turn-and-Look Packet Switches 1 and 2 (Benjamin Earl) along with additional notes featuring more ideas and applications. Most of these techniques are packet switches rather than single-card switches, and while many involve palming, they do not require lapping techniques like scooping or dropping cards into your lap.

This updated edition of the e-book, originally published in April 2010, spans 25 pages and includes over 100 illustrations. It is available as an A5 saddle-stitched booklet with card covers.
