“I will sum up your Knight’s Tour routine as follows, IT IS BRILLIANT!” – David Burmeister

Discover the Knight’s Tour Secrets

In the late 1980s, I developed a revolutionary technique for the Knight’s Tour that allows spectators to freely select both a starting and an ending square of different colors (it’s impossible to start and end on the same color).

This manuscript serves as a detailed guide to this unique method. It minimizes the need for memorization while providing a system that enables you to create a complete tour on the fly. The versatility of this technique allows for numerous tours between any chosen start and end points. Although some memorization is necessary, the method is practical and effective, even under pressure.

This is the sole published technique that lets you perform the Knight’s Tour blindfolded, without any visual aid from the chessboard.

While mastering this method may not be the easiest task, it is certainly achievable for anyone with average intelligence. If you can memorize a stacked deck of cards, you can master this technique. My approach turns an ‘impossible’ feat into a feasible challenge.

Bonus: Bob Cassidy has shared a brilliant idea that completely removes the need for memorization—a classic from Cassidy!

From my experience, the effect on spectators is far more profound than a typical memory demonstration. While impressive, a strong memory can often be dismissed with comments like, “he just has a good memory.” In contrast, the Knight’s Tour highlights exceptional logic and mathematical skill, elevating the performance beyond mere memory tricks.

I have kept this secret for twenty years, and I hope it brings you as much joy as it has given me.
