Unlock the secrets of card divination with this ingenious gimmick that requires no manipulation or contact with the deck! From the very beginning, a deck of cards remains in full view on the table, untouched by you. Invite several audience members to write down the name of a card they desire on a notepad. Hand the notepad to another spectator, who will sum the values of the cards and select one to circle.

Once this is done, you can set aside your notepad, as you won’t need to touch the deck. When the spectator reveals their chosen card (for instance, the 7 of Clubs) and the total they calculated (like 18), you can invite another spectator to take the deck, which has remained stationary throughout the performance. They will deal 18 cards and reveal the last one… it’s the 7 of Clubs!
