Ollie Mealing’s Card Control: A Masterclass in Subtlety
This card control technique by Ollie Mealing is truly impressive. The selected card is casually tossed into a spread of cards, and when gathered, it magically ends up at the bottom of the deck.
The execution appears effortless and relaxed, making it accessible for performers of various skill levels.
By drawing the cards inward and lifting the deck towards yourself, you can discreetly let the bottom card flip off your thumb into your lap, allowing you to hand the deck out for shuffling. This gives you the freedom to fold the card and conceal it in a wallet or use it for other purposes.
This method would have caught me off guard. While I’m not claiming to be an expert, I typically have a keen sense for detecting tricks. However, while observing this control, my instincts would have remained undetected.
