Effect: The magician presents a red blank deck alongside a standard blue deck. They explain that only one normal card is hidden within the blank deck. The spectator shuffles the blue deck and selects five cards, similar to a poker game. After choosing one card to focus on, the spectator places it face down on the table while the other four cards are summed up. For instance, if the total is 22, the magician counts to the 21st card in the blank deck, revealing that all other cards are blank. The next card is placed face down, and upon revealing it, it matches the spectator’s thought card. Not only did the magician predict the card, but it also corresponds perfectly to the sum of the other cards.

Bonus Effect by Lars La Ville: Double Blank ATCANN (Any Thought Card at Any Number). This variation involves two spectators, where only two cards appear in the blank deck, both matching the spectators’ chosen cards, aligning with the total of their respective sums.

Additionally, you will learn a sleight that is beneficial for various card routines. This concept was inspired by John Carey’s routine called Stealth. In my adaptation, the spectator can think of any of the five cards, and I have incorporated the blank deck. If time allows, consider exploring:

• Stealth 2.0, which utilizes two normal decks and includes a poker routine transitioning from Dai Vernon’s poker routine into Stealth 2.0.
• Stealth 3.0, featuring a double ATCANN with two spectators and two normal decks.
