Subliminal Influence is a versatile routine featuring multiple phases. You can choose to perform all phases consecutively or select individual effects. When executed as instructed by Tommaso, the complete routine lasts nearly 20 minutes, giving you flexibility in your performance.
The routine includes the following effects:
-
Guess a Random Selection: The magician accurately identifies a card chosen by a spectator.
-
Gemini Effect Part 1: Both the spectator and the performer select cards, which turn out to be matching values and colors (e.g., AH – AD, 3S – 3C).
-
Perfect ACAAN: A deck in its box is placed on the table. A spectator names a card and another names a number. When the deck is removed, the named card appears at the specified position, creating an impressive ACAAN effect.
-
Gemini Effect Part 2: After cutting the deck multiple times, the spectator names a number (e.g., 23) and selects a card to place face-down. Upon revealing the selected card (e.g., JS), counting to the named number reveals the other black Jack: the Jack of Clubs.
-
Infinity Gemini Effect: The spectator divides the deck into two piles, randomly selects three cards from one pile, and finds matching pairs from the other pile, such as 3H – 3D, QD – QH, AC – AS.
Bonus Effect: CAAN / Open Prediction
As a bonus, Tommaso provides an alternative method for performing either Open Prediction or CAAN instead of the Perfect ACAAN.
For the Open Prediction, the performer announces the prediction. The spectator deals cards face-up until they reach their thought-of number (which remains undisclosed) and places that card face-down. The only card face-down at the end will be the Open Prediction.
For the CAAN effect, the performer writes a prediction on paper. The spectator names a number (e.g., 18), retrieves the deck from the table, and counts to their number, revealing the 18th card as 2H. The performer then asks them to read the prediction, which matches perfectly.
Note: The effect remains consistent, and a standard deck of cards is used.
