A Revolutionary Card Trick by Erik Casey
Introducing the Expression Test, a captivating card trick that has taken over six years to perfect. In this routine, a spectator freely selects a card from a shuffled deck, which is then returned and shuffled again.
Next, you present four cards, each one getting closer to the chosen card as you interpret the spectator’s expressions. Although they insist their card isn’t among the displayed options, a simple shake of the cards reveals the selection in a stunning visual moment.
As the audience regains their composure, the remaining three cards are unveiled, matching the chosen card flawlessly. This effect requires minimal sleight of hand, utilizes a borrowed shuffled deck, and is performed without any gimmicks, making it suitable for any environment.
Filmed, directed, and edited by Joao Da Silva, with voice-over by Bryan Saint. This trick draws inspiration from the works of Ryan Schlutz and Shoot Ogawa, with special thanks to Sebastian Gerhardt for his invaluable guidance in refining this effect.
