Discover the Unique Magic of Chuck Smith

Chuck Smith is an exceptionally talented magician from the Southwest U.S. who remains relatively unknown in the magic community. Although I haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him personally, I proudly consider myself one of his many enthusiastic fans. My admiration is reflected in my glowing reviews of his lecture manuscripts, “What If” and “Why Not?”, featured in Genii magazine in September ’95 and August ’96, respectively. Smith also offers several other pamphlets that, while not widely promoted, are equally valuable; I highly recommend acquiring the entire collection. His latest manuscript focuses exclusively on card magic.

While the price may seem steep for a self-published work, the content is quite unique, and beginners may find it challenging. If you’re interested in mastering eccentric table passes, unconventional false deals, and innovative techniques for the Double Lift, this manuscript is for you. It also covers advanced applications of reverse and double card fans, a mnemonic system for remembering selected cards linked to spectators (think “multiple selection possibilities”), and insightful practice advice from a seasoned performer. Additionally, you’ll find a couple of mystifying card tricks that emphasize performance experience over complex sleight-of-hand techniques. If these topics resonate with you and you’ve enjoyed Smith’s previous works, you’ll find this material to be both intriguing and rewarding.

Given the complexity of some concepts, a few descriptions may lack detail and could be challenging to grasp. However, if you’re genuinely committed, the author may be willing to clarify any questions via email. If you don’t quite understand the allure of this material, it might just be that Chuck Smith’s style is a bit too advanced for your current level.
