Aaron Alexander is a highly respected figure in the mystery arts community, known for his contributions to mentalism, magic, and hypnosis. We are thrilled to collaborate with him on the release of his latest effect, PSYNC. Here’s what Aaron has to say:
This marks my first release for performers in five years, and I’m both excited and a bit anxious.
I understand that the magic community is often skeptical, so I aim to create an honest, straightforward page to help you determine if this resonates with you. If it does, I invite you to explore further.
Here’s a glimpse of what to expect:
Overview
(P)SYNC showcases the reality of magic and how we, as humans, can create it. At its core:
You’ll perform something that feels like real magic. It’s dependable, requires only you, and is easy to learn while allowing for skill development, opening up more possibilities as you improve.
The method demonstrated in the promotional videos is straightforward, making it easy for you to replicate what you see.
How it Looks (and Plays)
Initially, it appears to be a magic trick, but it quickly evolves into a genuine connection with your participant, leading to seemingly impossible moments. Their hand finds the card on its own, again and again, even without them seeing it.
This effect can be repeated endlessly, with any object or even without props. You can present it without framing it as a magic trick.
While some of the brightest minds in magic and hypnosis are amazed by this effect, it may not suit everyone. It doesn’t involve complex moves or attempts to deceive. It’s clever, but that’s not the main focus. There are no special gimmicks, and practicing in front of a mirror isn’t applicable.
Background and Setting Expectations
Years ago, I authored two popular books among performers. Bridge introduced a self-contained method that sparked excitement for what was to come, while Pygmalion Effects explored how to make something real.
(P)sync follows a similar concept. It’s a self-contained method that is—though it pains me to say as a humble Canadian—truly fantastic. If it aligns with your style, you’ll find joy in using it for years. I created this over a decade ago, and you can see in the video how enjoyable it remains.
If you’re inspired by (P)sync and want to delve deeper, I also offer an online course that expands on these concepts. Like Bridge and Pygmalion Effects, this course aims to unlock the vast potential beyond the initial effect. However, for most, having this tool at your disposal will be more than sufficient. It’s an excellent starting point even if you desire more.
What You Need to Perform:
Just yourself and a participant. That’s all.
While we use cards in the instructional video, you can apply this method with any physical object or even without one.
No complex memorization is required; you won’t forget this any more than you would forget how to fry an egg. You don’t need to be a performer to grasp the principles taught.
This method relies on genuine connection and psychological principles. Even if something goes awry, you’ll still be fine. It’s designed to engage people in a way that some performers know is possible, yet it’s structured to be reliable and effective for anyone.
Still Questioning?
Based on past successes, Bridge and Pygmalion Effects are utilized daily by top performers worldwide. For more details, here’s a review of Bridge from its 2014 release. The reviewer has a magician and hypnotist bias, but it should provide insight into your potential.
And I emphasize this: it’s not about what I can create, but what you can achieve using only yourself.
This material works because humans are incredibly remarkable, and we often forget just how amazing we are. Let’s remind each other, and this is a powerful way to do just that.
