ABRAVIAGRA: THE CORK TRICK (SOL STONE)

Renowned for his elegant and sophisticated coin magic, Sol Stone presents one of his few self-working tricks that has successfully baffled even the most seasoned magicians. Many spectators have speculated about the use of magnets and threads, yet this straightforward routine relies solely on ordinary, examinable props.

The effect is straightforward: you display a cork and a cup, both of which can be borrowed or inspected. The cork is placed on its side and covered by the cup. After a wave of your hand over the cup, nothing occurs. Then, the spectator waves their hand over the cup while it covers the cork. Astonishingly, when the cup is lifted, the cork is found standing upright on its edge. Everything can be examined afterward or kept as a souvenir, and the trick can be repeated immediately.

This trick was initially featured as a bonus routine on the DVD accompanying Sol Stone’s Radical Dice Routine, produced by Meir Yedid Magic in 2007, with a runtime of approximately 5 minutes.
