Chain Gain by Rouis Yamagishi & Nobuyuki Nojima

Effect: The magician entwines a chain around their fingers, creating two loops. When a spectator inserts a finger into one loop, the chain becomes tightly knotted, but when they try the other loop, it slips free. Spectators are instructed to choose the loop that knots, yet they always select incorrectly.

Key Features: Traditionally, Monte-style tricks with chains are performed on a table. However, thanks to Nobuyuki Nojima’s innovation, this effect can now be showcased while standing, making it ideal for table hopping and larger audiences. It works perfectly even in close-up situations.

As a bonus, the DVD includes Nojima’s “Triple Through,” where the chain wraps multiple times around the hand but slips off effortlessly when pulled. This effect was originally featured in the February 2017 issue of Weekly Magion.
