Clairvoyant Mental Topper by Justin Higham

In the 1950s, Bob Hummer made waves with his ‘Think-a-Card’ effect, known as ‘Mind-Reader’s Dream’, where a spectator’s thought-of card was revealed without any inquiries. However, its intricate dealing process and reliance on a table of references led many magicians to search for simpler alternatives.

In the early 1990s, Justin Higham introduced a streamlined version of the Hummer effect, eliminating the complex dealing and the need for reference tables. This innovation laid the groundwork for the ‘Clairvoyant’ study and related effects, including Marlo’s influential ‘Mental Topper’, where not only is a thought-of card revealed, but also its three corresponding ‘mates’.

This booklet spans 48 pages and features over 40 variations on ‘Clairvoyant’, ‘Mental Topper’, and ‘The Mind-Reader’s Dream’, along with an easy-to-master False Dovetail (Riffle) Shuffle designed for these effects. It is presented as an A5 saddle-stitched booklet with card covers.
