Karrell Fox: A Legendary Magician
Karrell Fox was a pioneering magician, renowned for his innovative performances at trade shows and his touring show for Ford Motor Company. His remarkable success stemmed from the diverse characters he crafted, including ‘Milky’ the Clown, Prof. ‘Mix-up’, ‘Wow’ the Wizard, W. C. Fields, and ‘Just Plain’ Karrell, each tailored for specific venues and occasions.
This collection offers a wealth of ideas, covering everything from card tricks and mentalism to stage performances. Accompanied by numerous photographs, it showcases the life of a man who achieved both artistic and financial success.
From the introduction by Sid Lorraine
At just seventeen, Karrell became the manager of Abbott’s Magic Shop in Detroit. He has since thrived as a magician, comedian, and Master of Ceremonies, portraying characters such as W.C. Fields in television ads and “Milky the Clown.” As a writer and producer, he created six traveling trade units for the automotive industry, titled “The Magic World of Ford,” and delivered motivational speeches for sales teams.
