Bio

Hailing from Honolulu, Hawai’i, Kainoa has always had a flair for performance. As a child, he transformed cardboard boxes into stages and toy blocks into microphones, diving into theater before even starting kindergarten. Often cast as the villain, he was the only drama student with a fake mustache and black cape by junior high.

His passion eventually led him to magic, drawn by its interactive and personalized nature. He began his journey with a comedy and magic troupe humorously named “The Magic Mafia.” Their motto, “you’ll be entertained or we’ll kill you,” may not have propelled them far, but it certainly made audiences laugh.

By high school, Kainoa was performing alongside some of O’ahu’s finest magicians, mastering sleight-of-hand techniques that would earn him recognition. He showcased his talents at Curtis Kam’s showroom in Waikiki, as well as at private events and restaurants.

Initially pursuing a degree in English Romantic poetry, Kainoa shifted his focus to Victorian magic, becoming an authority on its publication and performance history. Frustrated with the current state of education, he continues to amaze audiences in his adopted home of Delaware.

Known among friends for his C3P0-like qualities—possessing a wealth of obscure knowledge from teaching college English, maintaining order amidst chaos, and a humorous concern for survival—Kainoa has recently found his perfect R2-D2 partner in life.
