Alexander de Cova – Lager Switch

This effect has no connection to Lager Beer, but it does pay homage to David Regal. The name “LAGER” is simply “REGAL” spelled backward. Inspired by David’s remarkable “Clarity Box,” which I utilize in this demonstration, you can also use any suitable container or drinking glass.

In this presentation, I showcase my method using an UNPREPARED crystal box to achieve a seamless switch: a folded card that remains in plain sight is exchanged for a signed card. This straightforward switch is perfect for performers, featuring a strong retention of vision.

Additionally, you can easily adapt this technique to use a blank card or business card, making it an invaluable tool for mentalists. Imagine the potential when combined with an index of pre-folded billets! The creative possibilities are limitless—I’ve even executed this with a folded bill.
