Mendez
A5 Booklet
Fraser has released his latest work as a physical booklet, responding to customer requests for tangible products rather than going entirely digital. In this book, he unveils a remarkable principle along with various applications that he has previously shared only with a select few.
Initially, Fraser was concerned that this secret might be too complex to teach, as it embodies genuine Mind Reading, creating a profound experience for both the performer and the audience. At its core, this principle enables you to discern which object a spectator is thinking of from a choice of three. The entire process occurs solely in the spectator’s mind, as they think of the objects and use their intuition to make a selection.
The Mendez principle elevates Fraser’s work to new heights, making the method feel almost ethereal. It taps into the innate intuition we all possess, making it nearly self-working and straightforward in concept. With a remarkable success rate, this approach falls within the prop-less category. Fraser also teaches how to seamlessly integrate prop-less effects with more reliable material, ensuring you’re always prepared during performances.
This innovative method represents a significant advancement in prop-less Mentalism, pushing the boundaries of what was previously thought possible. The spectator simply thinks of three objects, names them randomly, and chooses one—no complicated systems or reframing are necessary to reveal their thoughts. The method is ingeniously simple, leveraging psychological principles.
This knowledge serves as a foundation for achieving various effects or gathering additional information from the spectator. One notable application of this groundbreaking principle is Fraser’s unique take on a ‘Trojan horse’ style effect, differing from the original method by Michael Murray, Manos Kartsakis, and Ian Rasp. In this version, the spectator imagines placing one object in their left pocket, another in their right pocket, and holding one in their fist. The performer can then instantly divine which objects are in each location, requiring no additional setup. This direct approach is thoroughly explained in the booklet.
Those who have witnessed Fraser perform this effect, including fellow magicians, were astounded by his ability to seemingly know the chosen object effortlessly, often repeating the effect multiple times with the same participant.
Additionally, the booklet includes Fraser’s techniques for divining a star sign entirely prop-less, along with a streamlined method for guessing a star sign after just a few lines of scripting, effectively narrowing it down to two options.
This principle can also be adapted as a force. Fraser teaches a variation that employs a ‘one ahead’ technique, allowing you to seemingly read two thoughts simultaneously—one completely free choice and another from a set of objects the performer anticipates the spectator might consider. This technique can be applied to names, numbers, colors, star signs, pin codes, and more.
Fraser is excited to share this incredible work and invites you to join him on his journey into the realm of the impossible.
“The Mendez principle is such a unique piece of Mentalism, NOT just because of the effects it now makes possible to perform prop-less but because of the method itself – It’s very hard to describe what it feels like to perform this other than; THE REAL thing! When Fraser told me the method I didn’t believe him, until we performed it on each other over and over again, with great success. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who wants their Mentalism to feel real, NOT just for their audience but for themselves too!” – Dreygon Hibbler
“The Art of Mentalism encompasses the idea of getting into someone’s head and Fraser has done it. When I first witnessed this tool I almost fell out of my seat. The array of effects you will be able to perform with the Mendez principle is unbelievable. You will truly feel like a wizard when using this new tool in your Mentalism.” – Perna
“It felt like Fraser had hit me in the head with a Sledgehammer! NOT just once but twice in a row!! Fraser’s commitment to his craft is next level. I can tell he’s only just begun to scratch the surface with this. I can’t wait to read Mendez to see where he’s taken it.” – Ryan Mentis, Mentalist Blogger
“HOW THE F DUDE. This is three in a row. I DON’T UNDERSTAND … [Fraser continues to repeat the effect] … Right, this is ridiculous! Like every new one I’m thinking ‘yeah, he got the previous one but he won’t get the next’ then BOOM!!” – Mool Hood
“Ffs! Have I told you I hate you!!” – Olie McManus
