Introducing Sleightly Cerebral by Nick Conticello
Nick Conticello proudly marks the fourth anniversary of his debut on Lybrary.com with the launch of his first ebook in the new series, Sleightly Cerebral. This inaugural volume reimagines the classic Do-As-I-Do card effect.
From the Foreword:
Welcome to the premiere of Sleightly Cerebral. The title hints at the playful humor within, as this series delves into sleight-of-hand techniques while building on the concepts introduced in The Cerebral Approach. Each installment will typically focus on one or two underappreciated sleights, reinterpreting traditional effects and introducing innovative methods to achieve them.
This series intentionally avoids complex counting techniques, such as the Littlecount. While mathematical methods may be included, they will be straightforward and accessible. The focus will be on tactical thinking rather than arithmetic. Additionally, I may explore effects that involve various setups, both minor and extensive. Essentially, this series serves as a counterpoint to The Cerebral Approach.
While I will concentrate on specific sleights in each volume, I will not cover standard techniques like double-lifts, Elmsley and Jordan false counts, top palms, or false shuffles, as these are well-documented in existing literature that you should already know.
Most of the sleights discussed have been previously published. I do not claim originality for them; however, I believe my applications of these techniques are unique and beneficial. I hope you will share my enthusiasm for this material.
