The Digital Pabular

The digital edition of Pabular Magazine, renowned as one of the premier publications in close-up magic, is now available through Martin Breese, thanks to an arrangement with its original publisher, Nick Bolton.

Originally published by Nick Bolton, with art direction from Eric Mason, the magazine featured editorial contributions from Fred Robinson, Walt Lees, and Stephen Tucker. The inaugural effect was presented by Roy Walton, with additional contributions from notable figures such as Jack Avis, Gaeton Bloom, John Carney, Tony Corinda, and many others. Some contributors had dedicated issues, including Roy Walton (2 issues) and Phil Goldstein (3 issues).

This digital format is accessible on both PC and Mac, allowing users to view every page of the magazine. You can print individual pages or the entire magazine as needed.

The magazine includes illustrations and text that can be enlarged for better visibility. Additionally, a comprehensive searchable index created by Ian Keeble spans 74 pages, enabling quick access to any trick or effect. The demand for this long-awaited CD-Rom has been high, especially at the Blackpool Convention, where many attendees inquired about its release. Now, all 1,311 pages of Pabular Magazine are available for just £31.75/$45, with free shipping worldwide.

“Like Martin Breese’s previous digital releases (Pentagram and Max Andrews Magic), this is a fantastic deal. Even if you’re not a fan of digital media (ebooks), you can’t go wrong at this price. Highly recommended.” – Peter Duffie, Magicweek Magazine

Mike Powers commented: “I just received the CD Rom Pabular. Holy smokes! There are over 1400 pages, completely indexed by trick, trick type, author, etc. It’s nicely linked so you can just click on the item and go directly there. The list of contributors is phenomenal. I’ve just begun to wade in … “
