I recently purchased this mentalism effect from Paul Richards at a live event in San Diego. As a fan of mentalism, I was captivated by the performance and knew I had to own it. The deck is split into three equal piles, each with a prediction written down and placed in front. In the first pile, cards are dealt face down, and the spectator can say stop at any point, choosing from the card in hand, the top card of the deck, or the card on the pile. The second pile has cards dealt face up, allowing the spectator to stop whenever they wish. For the third pile, the cards are spread, and the spectator simply thinks of a card. Each time, the predictions are revealed and are always correct. The clever twists in the predictions prevent the trick from becoming repetitive, and since each pile employs a different method, the spectator is unlikely to catch on. This is a brilliantly designed trick that allows for a focus on presentation and storytelling after the initial setup, which is only required once. Highly recommended!
