“Aaron is one of the few people that have it all. Aaron does magic that even makes magicians’ jaws drop. He fools me every time I see him.” – Chris Kenner, Executive Producer, The Magic of David Copperfield
“One of the best card men to come along in twenty years.” – Larry Jennings
“Aaron Fisher’s lessons rank with the best magical instruction I’ve ever seen. Like a hip college prof coaching his students for finals, he teaches both moves and theory, helping all magicians to reach the next level.” – Jerry Dunn
Aaron Fisher specializes in card magic, driven by his passion for learning and improving his craft. The excitement of progress, no matter how small, is a constant source of motivation for serious performers. He began his journey in high school, where he met card experts Jack Birnman and Peter Galinskas. Jack introduced him to the importance of creativity in card magic, emphasizing that alterations to classic moves should be justified. Peter guided him in understanding those justifications.
While studying theater at UNLV in Las Vegas, Aaron immersed himself in close-up magic, learning from legends like Larry Jennings, Michael Skinner, and Johnny Thompson, The Great Tomsoni. They instilled in him the value of mastering the fundamentals and the pursuit of naturalness in sleight of hand.
In 2002, after publishing his book, The Paper Engine, Aaron committed to a full-time career in entertainment. His experiences as a performer have inspired him to mentor the next generation of magicians. He understands the challenges and pitfalls that learners face, having encountered misleading resources and ineffective advice himself. This realization fuels his belief in the necessity of effective teaching.
In addition to performing at corporate events, nightclubs, and stage shows, Aaron dedicates time each year to help card magicians enhance their skills. He works with magic campers at the Sorcerer’s Safari Summer Program in Ontario, Canada, and conducts lectures and seminars at magic clubs and conventions worldwide. He also offers personalized coaching for serious students.
For Aaron, witnessing his students’ growth makes teaching magic a rewarding endeavor. If you could ask one question to one of the world’s most innovative magicians, what would it be? Don’t miss the opportunity to attend a magic lecture! Join us on Sunday, May 19th at 7:00 PM for a live-streamed, interactive 2-hour session with Aaron Fisher, where you can ask questions and learn insights not found in any book or DVD.
