THE EFFECT: The magician presents a gift box, explaining that it contains a present for his four-year-old niece’s birthday. He discusses ‘coincidences’ and invites the audience to call out a color, an amount of money, a lady’s name, and a ‘gift’ to be chosen. These selections are recorded on a whiteboard. A chosen lady is brought on stage, and she retrieves from the gift box a birthday card addressed to the magician’s niece, matching the name called out—coincidence one. Next, she finds a gift certificate for the exact amount mentioned—coincidence two. Finally, she pulls out the gift that corresponds to her choice and the exact color that was called out. Remarkably, the color, amount, name, and gift all align perfectly, with the spectator unveiling the items from the box.
