Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks are truly legendary.

When Bruce Cervon relocated to Los Angeles to learn from Dai Vernon, he meticulously documented all the insider magic tips shared by the Professor and others. He also recorded his original creations, many of which were reserved for professional performances. Over the years, his notebooks expanded significantly, and while he kept them closely guarded, the mystique surrounding Cervon’s Castle Notebooks grew among magic elites.

These notebooks inspired five volumes of Cervon’s magic and three volumes of The Vernon Chronicles. However, this is just the beginning. The Castle Notebooks also include material Bruce intended for future publications about Vernon and himself, extensive notes on card cheating techniques (much of which was taught by Vernon), unpublished works from various magic legends, and Bruce’s own professional routines. The sheer volume and quality of this content is astounding, spanning over 1500 pages.

For enthusiasts of close-up magic from the golden era of the Magic Castle, Bruce Cervon’s Castle Notebooks represent a treasure trove. They contain numerous tricks, sleights, and secrets that Cervon kept exclusive for many years, remaining ahead of contemporary magic innovations. Honoring Bruce’s wish for this information to remain special, his wife, Linda Lipps Cervon, in collaboration with L&L Publishing, is releasing these notebooks in a facsimile hardcover edition, with each page scanned from the original handwritten notes.
