Utilize Any Pocket Diary – Effortlessly Self-Working with No Reset
Effect:
Start by handing your spectator a diary for them to examine. Each day in the diary features the name of a playing card, which they can verify before placing it in their pocket. (Note: The entries don’t have to be playing cards; you can customize the diary with names, phone numbers, words, symbols, or anything else you prefer.)
Next, present six blank business cards. Write something on one of the cards without revealing it to the audience, leaving it in full view on the table. You won’t touch this card again. (Alternatively, you could place your prediction in a sealed envelope.)
Then, take the remaining five business cards and write different numbers on both sides of each card. A spectator freely names any month and selects the card corresponding to their choice. For instance, if they think of May, they will take the card marked with the number 5, ensuring they remain committed to their choice.
Another audience member (or the same spectator) now mixes the leftover cards and lays them on the table, flipping over a few cards at random to create a completely unpredictable set of numbers.
The top four numbers are added together, which might total 20. “Now, please check the 20th day in May.” The card corresponding to that date could be the 4C. Finally, reveal your prediction to show that you had indeed written down the 4C!
Everything can be left for the audience to inspect.
