Angel

A spectator selects a card and signs its face with a permanent marker. The angel illustration on the back of the signed Bicycle card is then colored solid black using the same marker. The magician blows over the ink and rubs it with his fingers, demonstrating that the mark is indeed permanent. With a subtle wave, the ink on the angel visually fades away, revealing the original image while the signature remains, showcasing a miraculous transformation.

Angel Redux

The angel on the back of a freely chosen signed Bicycle card is carefully cut out with a penknife, leaving a circular hole. With a gentle wave, the angel gradually reappears, restoring the card to its original state right before the audience’s eyes.

Hotspot

A signed card is folded in half, and its center is torn out. The missing piece magically teleports from the magician’s pocket back to the damaged card, fully restoring it. The piece is then ripped out again and placed in the magician’s mouth, who spits it back at the torn area, visually repairing the card without any cover.

Making Ends Meet

This restoration effect stands out from typical piece-by-piece card restorations. A quarter is torn from a signed card and handed to the spectator, followed by another quarter being removed, creating a long half-card. This long piece is then split into two and fused back onto the other torn edges, resulting in a mismatch. The final piece is removed and restored on the incorrect side, creating a striking visual oddity. In an almost eerie moment, the magician simply gazes at the last piece, which then shifts and slides over to the correct side. Finally, the piece held by the spectator changes color, permanently mismatching it from the rest of the card.
