Who Is He?

With infectious enthusiasm and a playful sense of humor, Gene Anderson captivates audiences using a variety of unique props. A two-time Academy Award nominee by the Academy of Magical Arts, former board member of the International Brotherhood of Magicians, and one of only six lifetime members of the Magic Circle of Norway, Gene’s magic has taken him across twenty-one countries on six continents. He has emceed nearly every major magic convention in the U.S.

This past April, he hosted the Academy of Magical Arts Awards Show in Los Angeles, and on July 12, he emceed the opening show at the combined IBM/SAM Convention in Louisville, KY, featuring five routines from this lecture. Gene has also produced, directed, and hosted seven editions of “The Vaudeville Show” at the State Theatre in Bay City, Michigan. His work has graced the covers of Genii, The Linking Ring, and M-U-M magazines. Among his notable writings, Newspaper Magic remains one of the best-selling magic books, now in its twelfth printing.
