Houdini, known for his fascination with the occult, wrote the name of a playing card next to each date in his diary, believing that certain cards resonated with specific days. The spectator is invited to choose any significant date, allowing for a genuine and free selection.

As you reveal the deck, all cards are blue-backed except for one unique red-backed card that features Houdini’s signature. The spectator then confirms that the cards for their chosen week are all different. To their astonishment, the card corresponding to their selected date turns out to be the same card that Houdini noted on the day his beloved dog passed away.
