Excerpt from the Introduction:
How does one begin writing something like this? I’ve never tackled a project of this nature before—aside from a job application and a police report. But why does this book exist? Simply put, I haven’t encountered a book on illusions like this in any magic shop; one that focuses solely on original ideas for illusionists. I own a few books on large stage illusions, with Jim Steinmeyer’s work on Jarrett being a personal favorite. I envisioned creating a modern “Jarrett” style book filled with fresh material. For the record, I’m not claiming to be on par with the brilliance of Guy Jarrett or Jim Steinmeyer. However, I believe Guy Jarrett would have appreciated this book, perhaps even with a few expletives!
