Le Nombre D’Or by J.P. Vallarino
Begin your performance by placing a prediction on the table. This prediction can be entrusted to a spectator or openly displayed before the show even starts!
Hand a deck of cards to a spectator, allowing them to inspect it thoroughly. They will find that the deck is completely normal and can shuffle it as many times as they wish, in any way they prefer. You explain that this deck is unique and holds a special significance.
The deck is then placed into a case, and no changes are made throughout the process—all actions are performed in full view of the spectator!
You can even leave the deck outside the case, ensuring the spectator keeps a close watch on it.
Next, ask the spectator to reveal the prediction that was placed on the table at the beginning of the performance: 34 / Queen of Hearts.
Have the spectator count the cards on the table to the 34th position, and despite all the shuffling, they will discover… it’s the QUEEN OF HEARTS!
The case is shown to be empty, and everything is left for the spectator to examine on the table.
