Dee Christopher – Legion

“Get out of here, don’t release it. Make up some story, only I may have this!” – Branden Wolf (Bison, Room with a View)

“From the moment I grasped the potential of Legion, my mind has been racing with incredible magic and mentalism possibilities. This tool is remarkably versatile and practical. I doubt anyone will be disappointed; it’s cunning and brilliant.” – Lloyd Barnes (Method, Barrell Change)

“Legion eliminated my fear of forcing cards. My close-up magic has significantly improved since I started using this gimmick. The routines included have truly opened my eyes.” – Ne’Kros (Axel, Vice)

Dee Christopher has kept the Legion device a closely guarded secret for quite some time. While a few trusted friends have witnessed its power, he only recently decided to share it with the magic community.

This remarkable device can produce astonishing and seemingly impossible effects.

With Legion, you can:

  • Allow multiple spectators to see a single card’s face, each perceiving a different value. You can even reveal the card as blank afterward.
  • Easily force a card from a shuffled deck without ever touching it, and repeat the effect with a different card.
  • Transform a seemingly indifferent card into a chosen one instantly or right in the spectator’s hand.
  • Utilize photographs to achieve the same effects, forcing a specific image or person.

The concept of Legion is highly adaptable. You can create multiple outcomes—five, nine, or more—based on the complexity of your gimmick. Combine different Legion gimmicks to expand your possibilities, integrating them into everyday items like card boxes, envelopes, or notepads.

While the gimmick is visible to spectators, they remain unaware of its true nature.

Assembling the Legion gimmick is cost-effective, using common household items. Depending on your design, you could be ready to practice and perform in as little as five minutes.
