What Will He Teach?
OCD – Mike’s favorite opener. You swiftly reveal the four aces from the deck, then shift the focus to their backs. With a magical gesture from the spectator, all four aces change from blue to red, and astonishingly, the entire deck transforms to red.
What chu talkin’ bout Will “Ace”? – A spectator names any card, and you remove the four aces, accidentally leaving one out. You claim you’ll magically force them to select the last ace, which turns out to be the card they named. You repeat the process, and the card placed on the table becomes the last ace!
It Takes 2 (The Last Trick of Dr. Daley) – Mike’s rendition of this classic effect. Four aces are displayed, and you explain that it takes two attempts for the trick to work. You place the two red aces in the spectator’s hand, which remain unchanged. After repeating the sequence with the black aces, they magically transform into the red aces!
Which Ace Do Ya Like Best? – The spectator chooses their favorite ace, while the other three are set aside. Three indifferent cards are added to their favorite ace. With a magical snap, all cards turn into their favorite ace, which then mysteriously vanishes and reappears wherever you wish!
Stop. Hammer Time. – You display a card from your pocket and riffle through the deck. The spectator thinks of a card, and you reveal its suit, claiming to telepathically receive it. The card they hold is not the one they thought of, but when they name their card, it matches the one from your pocket!
Illuminate – The spectator selects the 2 of hearts, which is returned to the deck and box. They hold the box and a lighter, imagining their card rising from the flames. Upon inspection, their card shows the hearts burnt out, and you reveal a video capturing the moment!
No, It’s Right Here – You set aside a joker, claiming it’s acrobatic. A spectator selects a card and places it back in the deck. You shoot the joker into the deck, and after a couple of wrong guesses, it turns out to be their selected card!
Cannibal Cards – Mike’s twist on this classic. Four cards are introduced as serial killers, devouring their victims one by one. They eventually get caught but escape, still covered in “blood.”
Morph Calling Orson – The magician introduces four tens, then a card is named. The tens transform into aces, which then morph into the selected card. This is Mike’s take on Patrick Kun’s effect Morph.
Your Card is Right… – The magician shows four cards, and the spectator thinks of one. The magician reveals the card they hold is “your card,” and it indeed states “Your Card.” The other three cards are then revealed to show the spectator’s thought-of card.
Snap Change – Mike will teach you the correct execution of this stunning color change, including variations like the double and triple snap change, tap change, and the baby cradle method.
Clip Spin – A control or color change effect where cards visibly change as the deck rotates. Alternatively, have a card selected from the middle, and with a twist, it is controlled to the top.
Twist Pass – Mike’s version of Bruce Cervon’s Free Turn Pass, designed for smooth execution without relying on speed.
Cards from Mouth – Mike has performed for renowned electronic dance music artists, showcasing a method to grab attention even in loud environments like dance clubs.
Slider Double – Mike’s adaptation of Howie Schwarzman’s Impeccable Double, where multiple cards appear as one. Toss out two cards, and it looks like a four of a kind!
Effects with Slider Double:
Vegas Prediction – A prediction card is placed face down, and the spectator selects a card. The magician reveals the prediction, which matches the selected card, and shows the other three aces behind it!
Table Snap! – The spectator selects a card and returns it to the deck. The magician places a card on the table, which isn’t the spectator’s. With a snap, it transforms into their selected card.
Waltzin’ – The spectator selects and signs a card, which is placed on the table. The magician signs a different card on the back. The magician’s signature magically jumps to the spectator’s signed card, featuring the JG Move.
JG Move – Mike’s take on the classic KM Move, with an acrobatic twist, usable for mid-air color changes or switches, concealing the back of a card right under their noses!
The Deal Down or Stop and Count – The spectator names any card, which you toss into the deck. When you spell that card, the next card turned over is the exact one! This can be performed with a borrowed and shuffled deck.
TK Fan Control – A clever method to control a card to the top of the deck.
Secret Siri – Ask the spectator to name any famous person, and show them your phone where you had previously searched for that same person!
Slow Distance Spinner – Make a card shoot out of the deck and fly to your hand in what appears to be slow motion, with no strings or wires involved.
Skies Control – Display a card on the bottom of the deck, then turn over the top card, revealing it to be the same card!
Bob Ross – Mike’s interpretation of the Paintbrush Change, enhanced with a touch of titanium white.
