Lewis Ganson – Okito Box
In 1911, Okito partnered with Joe Klein to run a magic shop on Broadway, New York. Joe, who struggled with indigestion, stored his pill boxes in a shop drawer. Okito noticed that the lids fit both the top and bottom, making the boxes appear identical. He then created a metal version designed to hold coins, leading to the invention of the “Okito Coin Box.” Since its introduction by the Bamberg Magic and Novelty Company, various dealers worldwide have produced and sold these boxes, incorporating features like weighted bottoms for easier flipping.
This resource covers essential moves and advanced techniques. Lewis Ganson also included a chapter on magnetic coins and their application with the Okito Box. Additionally, you will find the “Boston Two Step” routine by Alex Elmsley, which utilizes the Boston Box.
There’s no better starting point for mastering the Okito Coin Box.
