What did he teach?

In Theatrical Close-Up, Peter will perform and explain a variety of routines, including:

Additionally, Peter will cover a Ring Flite ending for the Ring & Rope routines, utilizing the Richard Sanders AnyRing and Nick Einhorn’s Nest of Wallets for various settings. He will also teach the Larry Jennings Cup Routine and Slydini’s Coins Through Table, focusing on emotional justification.

Who is he?

Peter Samelson, dubbed the “soft-spoken conceptualist of sorcery” by the New York Times, has performed globally, from the Great Wall of China to the jungles of Bali. His audience has ranged from Mexican villagers to Grand Prix race car drivers aboard the Queen Elizabeth II.

He has entertained royalty, the elite of Paris, and local fishermen in Cartagena. With performances spanning from the Magic Castle to television, trade shows, and prestigious festivals, Peter has established himself as both a magician and an artist.

Peter lectures at colleges and performs at theater festivals. He has staged two Off-Broadway shows, “The Magician” and “PaperWork,” and has contributed to various television and film projects, including “What About Bob,” Kraft Salad Dressing commercials, and PBS’s “The Art of Magic.”
