A ball transforms into four (Multiplying Billiard Balls), Hopping Half, Cold Case, Cup and Bottle, Rubik’s Dream… These renowned effects all rely on a crucial tool: the shell. This simple yet powerful device allows magicians to turn a single ball into four or a coin into two. The shell not only appears but can also vanish, transfer, and cross over.

Since J.N. Hofzinser introduced the shell in 1874, its applications have expanded dramatically, with approximately 80% of popular coin tricks utilizing this ingenious tool. Originally designed for coins, the shell has evolved to accommodate various items, and now it extends to the realm of rings.

Thanks to the innovative collaboration between Wenzi Magic and Himitsu Magic, we present RINING, a concept that merges the ideas of rings and shells. We enlisted the expertise of a seasoned magician, known for his work in ring magic, to explore several initial applications for this prop, as showcased in the promotional video.

While only a few effects are demonstrated, they hint at the incredible potential of RINING. This is merely the beginning, as the set includes five versatile rings and four shells, allowing for effects like Hopping Half’s ring version, ring color changes, and color exchanges.
