You start by placing one hand behind your back before the performance begins.
Your spectator freely selects a card (no force involved).
They shuffle the deck.
With one hand, you cut the deck, draw a random card, and ask if it’s theirs.
IT’S NOT… and you remark,
“I’m much better at tricks with two hands.”
As you turn around, the hand that was behind your back is now revealing their chosen card.
This card can even be signed.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
CAN THEY SHUFFLE? OVERHAND OR RIFFLE?
Both methods work well. We suggest overhand, but it ultimately depends on the spectator’s comfort level. At the Blackpool Magic Convention, G performed this for magicians who preferred riffle shuffles, which were effective. On the street, spectators often used a less precise but thorough overhand shuffle, which we believe is preferable.
HOW DIFFICULT IS IT TO PERFORM?
The TV-clean version taught in this project is straightforward and nearly self-working. If you’re new to magic or lack confidence, the gimmicked deck makes it easy to execute. For the main routine involving a signed card, some sleight-of-hand is required, but it’s as simple as ‘getting a break.’
