In 2008, Michael James embarked on a journey to refine card flourishes, prioritizing fluidity and expressiveness over flashy, complex displays. The result is “Solo,” a collection of ten distinctive flourishes that emphasize smoothness and artistry, making it one of the most extensive cardistry projects ever created.

This project has been in development for four years, showcasing Michael’s influences from card legends like Brian Tudor, the Buck Twins, and Kevin Ho. Each flourish is unique, ensuring a varied and enriching experience that will enhance your cardistry skills.

“Solo” is organized into three sections: Signature Flourishes, Bonus Collection, and Special Features, totaling over 90 minutes of comprehensive training.

In the Signature Flourishes section, you’ll learn ten exclusive flourishes: Arriflex, Ekklesia, Collective, Elysium, Twistor, Tidalwave, Reich, Reinvention, Mysterium, and Zero. With nine two-handed cuts and one single card flourish, each comes with an introduction, performance demonstration, verbal explanation, and a slow-motion breakdown.

The Bonus Collection features four additional moves: Upload, Skydive, Whirlpool, and Elite. These quick, easy-to-learn flourishes are perfect for spontaneous performances, each accompanied by a performance overview and explanation.
