This effect is elegantly simple yet profoundly impactful. A participant learns about second sight and clairvoyance as they attempt to discern which of two business cards has writing hidden beneath. They succeed in this task. Next, they try to identify the content of the writing, and again, they succeed.

The performer then showcases the potential for mastery in this skill. The participant is given a blank card (only two cards are used) and asked to write down a secret piece of information. With their back turned, the performer retrieves the card, hovers their hand over it, and begins to reveal fragments of the information written by the participant.
