Introduction
This routine has been refined over many years, with segments added and removed to enhance its effectiveness. My goal in creating a Chop Cup routine was twofold: first, I wanted to ensure that the spectator never feels like a fool by consistently guessing wrong about the ball’s location. To achieve this, I’ve crafted my patter to alleviate any “sting” from the performance. Secondly, I aimed to respect the intelligence of my audience by addressing their suspicions regarding the presence of multiple balls. In a nod to Juan Tamariz, I cleverly exploit these doubts midway through the routine with a color change, which encourages the audience to abandon their attempts to outsmart the trick. As a result, the final loads surprise them completely.
