Present a red deck alongside a blue deck, placing the blue one aside for your spectator to see. The red deck features numbers from 1 to 52 written on the back of each card. Invite your spectator to select and discard a pile of red cards, allowing them to mix the deck as they wish. At their discretion, they stop and create two face-down piles from the remaining cards, ultimately revealing one card face up.

After all the mixing, they might reveal the 7 of Clubs face up, with a number (like 16) on the back of another card. Now, draw attention to the untouched blue deck. Your spectator counts down to the 16th card, and astonishingly, it’s the 7 of Clubs!
