Phase 1: The magician displays the kings, placing them face down on the table. Three cards are chosen and revealed to be the kings. What about the four cards on the table? They are turned over to show the aces! The aces are then cut into the deck, capturing the final king.

Phase 2: Setting the deck aside, the magician shows three empty pockets. The three kings are placed into these pockets, while the last king is exchanged for one of the aces on the table. Tapping the ace against the pockets reveals that the cards on the table are now the four kings, with the other three aces appearing in the pockets! (And yes, the aces can be signed!)

Phase 3: The magician presents the four kings and invites a spectator to choose one, say the king of diamonds. This card is placed into the magician’s pocket. With a snap, the king of diamonds returns to the packet. This is repeated, and finally, the king of diamonds is placed back in the pocket while the other three kings are held by the spectator. Instantly, those three kings jump into the magician’s pockets, leaving the spectator with just the king of diamonds!
