THE FLY

A spectator selects a card, which is then lost in the deck. The excitement builds as you announce your intention to cut to their chosen card. You remove a portion of the deck, revealing a house fly perched on top of a card. In a moment of surprise, you swiftly use the rest of the deck as a fly swatter, smashing the deck together with the fly trapped inside. When you separate the cards, a squashed fly is revealed on the card it was sitting on, along with the card that did the smashing. To everyone’s astonishment, the messy card turns out to be the spectator’s selected card. This trick is a clever illusion that will leave your audience amazed!

This effect is made easy with a special custom deck that does all the work for you. You can also use your own blue Bicycle Rider Poker-sized deck.

DON’T BUG ME

In this engaging routine, a selected card is lost in the deck. You introduce an invisible bumblebee to the audience, cutting the cards as the bee appears on the back of one card… but it’s the wrong one! After a second attempt, the bee is wrong again, prompting you to humorously smash it with the other half of the deck… SPLAT! When the cards are spread, one card reveals a squashed bee—the selected card!

“Don’t Bug Me” includes all the necessary gimmicks for performance.
