Abandon by Dr. Cyril Thomas (Instant Download)

Experience the magic of solid passing through solid, right before your audience’s eyes, using everyday objects that can be examined!

“When I saw ABANDON, I was amazed. I was amazed by a trick that I inspired, and I have no idea how it’s done.” – Hanson Chien

“This project will take rubber band magic to the next level.” – Bacon Fire

“Dr. Cyril Thomas continues to innovate with no ‘Abandon’! My favorite effect on this project is Fleury-Mérogis. It’s a beautiful, gimmick-free, broken-and-restored rubber band. And the setup can be done without misdirection! Amazing!” – Josh Burch

Abandon is a unique project that you can learn quickly, requiring no prior skills, and will be a staple in your performances for years to come. In this download, Dr. Cyril Thomas reveals four of the most visually stunning rubber band penetrations ever created (such as rubber band through a borrowed pen, ring, or finger). The methods behind these incredible effects are so clever that even fellow magicians will be fooled. Best of all, no gimmicks are needed—just standard rubber bands and borrowed items.

This new technique is sure to enhance your reputation! Here’s a glimpse of the four standout effects you’ll master:

  • Arkham: A regular rubber band visibly wrapped around a borrowed pen (or your finger) penetrates it as if it were liquid.
  • Black Gate: A borrowed pen (or finger, or any thin object) is securely held between three strands of a rubber band, and in an instant, it escapes!
  • Santa Prisca: A borrowed ring is held between the ends of a rubber band. As the spectator pulls on the ring, it escapes in the most impossible way.
  • Fleury-Mérogis: This effect is astonishing! A rubber band is wrapped around your hand. You pull it until it appears to break (you can even cut it with scissors!), and then it visually merges back with another band.
