Avoid the Avalanche: A Unique Mentalism Effect

Inspired by the intriguing concepts of Void by Skulkor and Avalanche by Paul Harris, I sought to enhance the motivation behind the actions in these effects. My goal was to create a more compelling narrative, leading to the creation of “Avoid the Avalanche.”

Effect: A card is chosen and secretly glimpsed by the spectator, then placed between their hands. Another spectator holds the remaining cards. The performer reveals the chosen card, which then astonishingly turns blank. To heighten the mystery, the entire deck is discovered to be blank, leaving the audience questioning their own perception.
